Position Summary
Affinity Medical Solutions is actively seeking a highly skilled and motivated ETL Developer/Report Writer to design, and develop ETL and reporting solutions. Affinity Medical application portfolio includes consumer websites; operations management applications; and internal software systems as well as numerous diverse internal and external data providers and consumers. Our data management systems include an operational data store; a data warehouse; healthcare analytics; and reporting system.

The person in this role maintains internal communications to promote AMS’ mission, and works to maintain an environment where staff can be effective, satisfied, and provide quality service to all customers, internal and external.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Utilize ETL/ DW/ Business Intelligence tools to build data integration, analysis, and reporting solutions for our clients and internal users
- Analyze and understand data sources and end-user requirements to deliver ETL solutions for managing AMS data
Design and implement information and report applications that meet defined requirement details - Author new reports and modify existing reports using reporting software to meet business specifications
Develop and maintain technical specifications, high-level designs and end user documentation of assigned projects and analysis. - Support solutions through the entire development lifecycle including system testing, bug fixes, performance tuning and production support
Work with information delivery and business owners to understand business needs and to analyze and clarify information related requirements - Assist with the development of the data models for the data warehouse guided by the data warehouse architect
Perform source system analysis and design mapping logic between source systems and the Operational Data - Store and the Data Warehouse
- Analyze data in source systems to assess data quality and make recommendations for addressing within the source systems or as part of the ETL process
- Performance tuning of ETL and reporting applications
EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING:
Bachelor’s degree and project management experience in healthcare business, operations management, consulting or decision support
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Proficiency in MSOffice skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to work independently, organize, and prioritize work assignments
Independent decision making skills and demonstrate initiative to resolve issues
Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to prioritize projects
Ability to exercise good judgment and handle a fast paced environment
Able to assess and coordinate departmental work flows effectively
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 5-7 years experience with ETL mapping, working with health care information and writing ETL packages for healthcare data
Minimum 5-7 years experience analyzing data within relational database systems and tools – SQL Server, Excel Pivot table etc.
Experience with UB04, clinical, and financial/billing healthcare data (ICD-9, CPT, DRG) within a hospital, healthcare payor, or health care services organization is required
Minimum 5 years ETL Developer experience within a health care organization required; experience with health plan operations in the area of information technology, customer service and/or claims preferred
