Practice Manager
Job Summary:
The Practice Manager will be responsible for management of overall operations at practice sites including personnel, operations, finance, billing, physician organization and communication, report analysis, improved efficiency and profitability, strategic planning, practice development and marketing. The Practice Manager will also be responsible for transitioning practices to new Practice Management and Electronic Medical Record systems.
Essential Functions:
- Ensuring that the practice consistently and efficiently meets organizational and practice expectations.
- Collaborate with office managers and physicians to implement all practice goals
- Ensuring that the practice is in compliance with all HR policies and practices as well as federal and state laws and regulations.
- Setting the tone for a positive, diverse, and harassment-free work environment for all team members.
Required Education:
- Undergraduate degree and 5 years relevant experience
Qualifications:
- 5+ years leadership experience
- Experience in a specialized physician medical practice environment
- Must have experience in developing effective operational policies, procedures and systems
- Effective, working knowledge of computer systems and applications
- Knowledge of medical practices, terminology, and reimbursement policies
- Ability to demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with management, peers and subordinates in a manner that contributes to achieving all stated business and clinical goals of the practice site and group
Desired Skills:
- Experience with computerized practice management system and EMR required (Centricity, Epic preferred), as well as proficiency with Microsoft Office.
