Affinity Medical Group Recognized for Fifth Consecutive Year by Integrated Healthcare Association
PINOLE, CA - December 22, 2009 – East Bay California's Affinity Medical Group was recently recognized for the fifth consecutive year by the Integrated Healthcare Association (IHA) as a best overall performer on important health care quality measures. These measures include preventive care and chronic care management, patient satisfaction, and use of information technology to support safer care.
Affinity Medical Group was compared with 235 California physician groups who participated in the IHA's Pay for Performance (P4P) program, the largest non-governmental physician incentive program in the United States. These groups include approximately 40,000 physicians who care for more than 11 million individuals.

Since the inception of the IHA's P4P program, there have been significant across-the-board improvements by California physician groups on clinical care measures, as well as increased use of information technology for activities such as prescribing, monitoring lab results, preventive and chronic care reminders, and electronic messaging.

Affinity Medical Group Physicians Recognized by National Committee for Quality Assurance
PINOLE, CA - October 1, 2008 – Six East Bay primary care physician members from Affinity Medical Group have been awarded Recognition by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), in partnership with the American Diabetes Association.
These physicians include Richard Batts, MD, Grace Chou, MD, James Naughton, MD and Richard Sankary, MD, part of Alliance Medical Group’s Pinole, CA office. Their colleagues Robert Clark, MD and Hana Oswari, MD from Alliance Medical Group’s San Pablo, CA office also received Recognition. All six of these physicians met standards demonstrating delivery of high-quality care to patients with diabetes.
